PTAA customize our process depending on factors that include, but are not limited to, previous professional experience, position to which you have applied, your geographic location, timeframe of your application, and/or School Leader discretion. For most teaching candidates, this process involves the following:
Stage 1: Initial interview (by phone or in-person)
Stage 2: Formal interview and sample lesson process (video and/or in person)
Depending on the position, other steps in the process may include written interview exercises, reference checks, participation in a talent selection event, and/or other activities. The final stages of the selection process typically include a visit to the PTAA campus to which you are applying, along with a sample lesson.
